The Vaughan-Smitherman Museum held a reception April 19 to open a new exhibit that tells Selma’s history through photographs. The reception recognized Tracy Martin, the daughter of Birmingham News photographer James “Spider” Martin, for donating some of her father’s photos of the attack on marchers on March 7, 1965, to the museum.
