Robert Ireland (1932-2020)
Robert „Bob” Root Ireland (1932-2020) was a longtime Research Associate at the U.S. National Herbarium (US), Department of Botany, Smithsonian Institution, in Washington, D.C. He died on December 8, 2020, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 88.
