Historic Arkansas Museum turns 85 | Arkansas Democrat Gazette
The museum, at 200 E. Third St., has been a destination for visitors from Arkansas and beyond since it opened 85 years ago – July 19, 1941. Back then it was called the Arkansas Territorial Capitol Restoration and was the first state-supported history museum in Arkansas.
